Patrick Soentjens

Patrick Soentjens serves as the Medical Director of the Polyclinic at the Instituut voor Tropische Geneeskunde in Antwerpen, where expertise focuses on infectious diseases, travel medicine, and HIV and STD management. In various roles since 2006, including Chief Physician and Associate Professor, Patrick specializes in travel medicine. Additional leadership positions include Head of the Travel Clinic at the Military Hospital and expertise roles in the Belgian Studygroup Travel Medicine and the Superior Health Council of Belgium. Education comprises a Doctor in Medical Sciences from the University of Antwerp, a Master's in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases from KU Leuven, and a Doctor of Medicine degree from KU Leuven. Patrick contributes to vaccine development as a clinical consultant at the Federal Agency for Medicines and Health Products in Belgium.
