Jim Flinn has extensive work experience in the manufacturing engineering field. Jim is currently the VP of Global Manufacturing Engineering at Insulet Corporation, a position they have held since November 2022. Prior to this role, Jim served as the Vice President of U.S. Acton Manufacturing (Operations) at Insulet from February 2021 to February 2023. Jim also held various senior leadership positions within Insulet Corporation, including Sr. Director of US Manufacturing Engineering from May 2020 to February 2021 and Sr. Director of Global Manufacturing Engineering from October 2018 to May 2020.
Before joining Insulet, Jim was the Director of Global Manufacturing Engineering at Insulet from February 2014 to October 2018. Jim began their career at Insulet Corporation in 2008, holding several positions such as Lead Mechanical Engineer, Senior Project Engineer in R&D, and Project Engineer in the Supply Chain department.
Prior to Insulet, Jim worked as a Mechanical Engineer at NeuroLogica Corporation from January 2005 to May 2008, where they played an instrumental role in designing the world's first portable head CT. Additionally, they have experience as a Mechanical Engineer at Analogic Corporation and Pollak. Jim began their career as a Co-op at Pollak in 1999 and later worked as a Mechanical Coop at Stoneridge - Pollak.
Jim Flinn attended Boston Latin School from 1992 to 1998. Jim then went on to Northeastern University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from 1998 to 2003.
