Kunal Pewekar

Kunal Pewekar has over 17 years of work experience. Kunal began their career at The University of Toledo as a Web Developer, where they designed and maintained an online portal for the Department of Chemical Engineering. Kunal then moved on to Franklin Templeton Investments, where they worked as a Database Administrator and later became the DBA Lead/Manager, overseeing a team of Senior Database Administrators. At Franklin Templeton, they were responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining database instances, providing production support, and performing query optimization and performance tuning.

In 2015, Kunal joined Questrade Financial Group as the Manager of Database Administration before transitioning to their current role as the Director of Application Development & Support, Quality Assurance, and Database Administration at the Insurance Bureau of Canada. In this position, they lead and manages technical teams in the design and development of public-facing portals for multiple business units. Kunal specializes in providing application and database administration support across the insurance domain.

Kunal Pewekar has completed the Executive Programme in Business Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta in 2012. Additionally, they hold a Master's degree in Computer Engineering from The University of Toledo and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Thadomal Shahani Engineering College. Kunal also completed their H.S.C. from Sathaye College and their S.S.C. from Sacred Heart School, Mumbai. Kunal has obtained certifications as an Oracle Certified Associate from Oracle in 2015 and as a Claritas™ Investment Certificate from the CFA Institute.
