Alex Tan

Alex Tan has worked in a variety of roles within the technology industry since 2010. Alex began their career as Regional Sales Director at AuthenTec (acquired UPEK) in 2010. The following year, they became Senior Director of Strategy & GTM at Oracle. In 2012, they were appointed Vice President of Asia Pacific and Japan at QLogic. From 2013 to 2015, they worked as an Independent Consultant, providing consultation to Start-ups, Private Equity Funds and Multi-National Corporations on Go-To-Market Strategy and investment across Asia Pacific/Japan. During this time, they also served as Business Development Consultant at Numecent. In 2015, they joined Integrated Biometrics as Vice President of Sales for Asia Pacific & Japan. In 2017, they became an Adjunct Faculty at the Royal Institute for Governance and Strategic Studies and a Consultant at Velocity Design Asia. Most recently, in 2019, they joined German Accelerator Southeast Asia as a Mentor.

Alex Tan has a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics from the National University of Singapore, which they obtained between 1984 and 1988. Alex also has three certifications from Dale Carnegie Training: the Dale Carnegie Course, High Impact Presentations, and Leadership Training for Managers.
