Reid Baker has worked in the field of research and development since 1997. Reid began their career at CR Bard as a Process Control Technologist and Compounding Supervisor, where they managed the compounding department and led polymer coatings synthesis operations. Reid then worked as a Project Investigator - Polymer Chemist at CR Bard, where they focused on custom polymers and antimicrobial systems for medical devices. In 2009, they moved to Jamak Fabrication as a Technical Services Chemist, where they developed extraction and purification processes for natural rubber latex and various small molecules, as well as working on product development and commercialization of various natural rubber based products. From 2013-2017, they worked at Yulex Corporation as a Sr. Polymer Chemist, where they developed high purity latex and guayule materials. During this time, they also worked at Allergan as an Engineer III - Drug Delivery and Biomaterials, where they researched and developed novel biomaterials for medical devices and drug delivery products. In 2017, they moved to Glidewell Laboratories as a Principal R&D Engineer, and currently works at Integrated Biometrics as a Sr Research Scientist/Engineer.
Reid Baker attended Penn State University from 1990 to 1995 and obtained a Bachelors of Science in Polymer Science. Reid also attended Pennsylvania State University and obtained a degree in Polymer Science with a focus on Polymer Chemistry.
