Jamie Brusa is a statistician at Integrated Statistics since August 2022, specializing in building statistical models to inform policy decisions for the conservation of North Atlantic right whales. Prior experience includes serving as a postdoctoral researcher focused on complex statistical modeling for whale conservation, and a postdoctoral scholar at the University of Washington, where Jamie employed hierarchical distance modeling to study harbor seals and marine bird populations in the Salish Sea. Earlier roles include a research associate at Montana State University-Bozeman, investigating the effects of soil contamination on solitary bees, and conducting doctoral research on population and evolutionary ecology of pinniped species. Jamie also has teaching experience as a biology instructor at Aims Community College. Academic credentials include a B.S. in Integrative Biology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, an M.S. in Coastal, Marine, and Wetland Studies from Coastal Carolina University, and a PhD in Biological Sciences from Montana State University-Bozeman.
