Richard Gribbons has a diverse work experience spanning several companies in the medical device industry. Richard worked as a Lead R&D Engineer and Section Head at Medtronic Vascular, Galway from 1998 to 2007, where they were responsible for developing and commercializing angioplasty balloon and stent delivery systems. Richard also held the role of Business Development Manager at ANSAmed, where they focused on identifying opportunities for precision extruded tubing and value-add services in the medical device industry.
At Caragh Precision, Richard held the positions of Innovation Leader and Innovation & Commercial Director. Richard played a crucial role in building the company's medical device business and securing manufacturing contracts with multinational medical device companies. Richard also developed the innovation center to foster collaborative relationships and identify new technologies and products.
Richard then joined Creganna Tactx Medical, where they held multiple roles including R&D Manager, Program Manager, and Global Business Unit Manager. Richard was responsible for developing products and managing design engineering teams while working closely with clinical and commercial teams to identify market opportunities and execute key development projects.
Following their time at Creganna Tactx Medical, Richard served as the VP of Development at i360medical ltd., where they focused on development initiatives.
Currently, Richard is the Director of R&D and Site R&D Lead at Integer Holdings Corporation. Prior to this role, they served as the Senior R&D Manager and Site Lead.
Throughout their career, Richard has demonstrated expertise in R&D, innovation, business development, and strategic leadership within the medical device industry.
Richard Gribbons earned a Diploma in Project Management from University College Cork in 2002. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering with Honors in Polymer Engineering from Technological University of the Shannon, Athlone Campus from 1994 to 1998. Their education began at Sligo Grammar School, where they attended from 1988 to 1994.
