Joe Murphy

Joe Murphy is an experienced engineering leader with a robust background in semiconductor and technology companies. Currently serving as Sr. Engineering Director in the Cloud Platform Group at Intel Corporation since February 2012, Joe oversees Server Chipset Development and SOC Micro Servers. Previously, Joe held the position of VP of Engineering at LSI, managing a large international team and transforming an underperforming organization into a high-performance unit. With a history at Intel from 1994 to 2009 as Director of Engineering, Joe delivered significant advancements in the Enterprise Chipset business. Joe's career began at Sun Microsystems, where contributions were pivotal to the company’s rapid growth, and earlier experience includes a role as a Design Engineer at Fluke Corporation. Joe holds a BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences from the University of California, Berkeley.
