Xiaolu Zhu

Xiaolu Zhu serves as Assistant Director at the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS) since July 2019, focusing on digitalisation projects and knowledge management policy and strategy. Prior to this role, Xiaolu was a Patent Examiner at IPOS International from October 2016 to June 2019, specializing in computer-implemented inventions and providing legal opinions. Previous experience includes working as a Data Engineer at Garena Online, where the development of big data ETL processes on Hadoop was undertaken, and participating in the SHINE Internship program at Singtel, which involved researching abnormal network dataflow and privacy protection for healthcare data. Xiaolu Zhu holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Science with a focus on Big Data Security and Privacy from the National University of Singapore, a Specialist Certificate in Intangible Asset Management from IP Academy, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Security from Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
