Kris Ruanjaikaen

Kris Ruanjaikaen is currently working as a Senior Principal Engineer (Director) at Intellia Therapeutics, Inc. Their responsibilities include leading the process characterization team for mRNA manufacturing processes, managing a team for process development and tech-transfer, and collaborating on the development of new process technologies. Prior to this, Kris worked at Biogen Idec as a Senior Engineer, where they led a team in evaluating and developing drug product formulation technologies. They also oversaw project plans and contracts with CROs/CMOs. Kris's previous experience includes working as a Scientist at Novartis Vaccines and Diagnostics, where they led the development and qualification of purification models for vaccine manufacturing processes. They also developed an in-process control strategy. Kris's early work experience includes working as a teaching assistant and a process engineer at Pennsylvania State University and Thai Polyethylene, respectively.

Kris Ruanjaikaen obtained a Real Estate Investment Certificate from Harvard Extension School in 2021. Prior to that, they completed a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Chemical Engineering from Penn State University in 2013. Their undergraduate degree, a B.E in Chemical Engineering with First Honors, was earned from Chulalongkorn University from 2002 to 2006.
