Sergio Varela Cabello

Sergio Varela Cabello has a diverse and extensive work experience. Sergio is currently serving as the Vice President of Business and Operations at Intellias since April 2020. Prior to this, they worked at HERE Technologies for several years, holding various director roles. From January 2017 to February 2020, they were the Director of Transformation and Operations Enablement, and from January 2015 to December 2016, they served as the Director of Business Planning and Operations. Additionally, from January 2012 to December 2014, Sergio worked as the Director of Agile PMO at HERE Technologies. Before joining HERE Technologies, they gained experience at Nokia as the Director of Connected Services during an expat assignment from July 2008 to December 2011. Prior to that, they worked at NAVTEQ as a Manager of Connected Services Software Development and Senior Analyst of Digital Mapping Operations. Sergio's career began at Performance Partnering Consulting as a Business Consultant from July 2003 to August 2005, and they also served as the Quality Manager of Ground Handling Operations at Lufthansa from January 2001 to December 2002.

Sergio Varela Cabello obtained their Bachelors and Masters in Industrial Engineering from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso, completing their studies between 1994 and 2000.
