Derek Low

Derek Low is a Research Engineer II at Intelligent Energy, specializing in the research and development of PEM fuel cells for automotive and aerospace applications since October 2021. Key responsibilities include managing research plans, testing and characterizing PEM fuel cells, and analyzing data for component optimization. Prior experience includes a role as a Research Associate at Loughborough University, focusing on PEM fuel cells for defense applications in collaboration with MBDA, and an engineering internship at Atkins, where contributions were made to mechanical and electrical engineering projects. Derek Low holds a PhD in Fuel Cell Engineering and an MSc in Renewable Energy Systems Technology from Loughborough University, as well as a BEng in Renewable Energy & Sustainable Technologies from Glyndwr University.
