Humam Alwassel

Humam Alwassel, Ph.D. has extensive experience in the field of machine learning and artificial intelligence. Humam started their career at Amazon in 2016 as a Software Development Engineer, working on the Vendor Self Service team. In 2019, they joined Facebook AI as a Researcher, specializing in computer vision. During their time there, they conducted research on Self-Supervised Representation Learning by Cross-Modal Audio-Video Clustering.

In 2021, Humam joined Amazon Web Services (AWS) as an Applied Scientist, where they worked on various projects related to machine learning and AI. After that, they moved to DeepMind in 2022, where they served as a Research Scientist. In this role, they contributed to research projects in the field of machine learning.

Humam'smost recent position is as a Principal Machine Learning Scientist at intelmatix, which they began in 2023. Humam Alwassel, Ph.D. has a strong background in machine learning and AI, with a focus on computer vision and self-supervised learning.

Humam Alwassel, Ph.D. earned their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from Cornell University in 2016. Humam then pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science, specializing in Computer Vision, at KAUST (King Abdullah University of Science and Technology) from 2016 to 2018. Currently, they are completing their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science, specializing in Computer Vision, at KAUST, with an expected graduation date in 2023.
