Vasja Urbancic

Vasja Urbancic has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade.

Vasja started their career as a Sandwich Placement Student at MRC National Institute for Medical Research in 2008.

In 2010, they joined the University of Cambridge as a PhD student, which they completed in 2016. Vasja then became a Postdoctoral Researcher at the same institution from 2015 to 2017.

In 2017, Vasja worked as a Data Scientist at Science to Data Science, where they were part of a team working on a project for Third Space Learning, focusing on generating insights into students' progression in their maths tuition program.

From 2018 to 2020, Vasja worked as a Data Scientist and Software Developer at Tessella. In this role, they worked on diverse projects in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, and energy sectors for multinational companies. Their responsibilities included scoping projects, data analysis, creating machine learning models, implementing proof-of-concept solutions, and delivering production-grade code.

Most recently, starting in October 2020, Vasja has been working as a Data Scientist at intelygenz. Further details of their role and responsibilities are not provided.

Vasja Urbancic obtained a PhD in Developmental Biology from the University of Cambridge, where they studied from 2010 to 2015. Prior to this, they completed their undergraduate education at the University of Bath, where they earned a degree in Molecular and Cell Biology (MBiol) from 2006 to 2010.
