Rigoberto Ariel Yépez-García

Rigoberto Ariel Yepez-Garcia is a highly experienced professional in the field of economics, currently serving as Principal Economic Advisor and previously holding the position of Energy Division Chief at the Inter-American Development Bank since September 2014. With a robust career that includes roles such as Senior Energy Economist at the World Bank and Senior Counselor at the Inter-American Development Bank, Rigoberto has extensive expertise in energy lending, policy dialogue, and technical cooperation activities in Latin America and the Caribbean. Additional experience includes positions as Director of Economic Planning at PEMEX and various roles within the Secretaría de Hacienda y Crédito Público (SHCP). Rigoberto holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Chicago, a Master's degree in Economics from El Colegio de México, and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Applied Mathematics from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.
