Kirsten West Savali's work experience includes various roles in the media industry. Kirsten started their career at Interactive One as a Contributing Editor in 2011 and later became a Columnist for damemagazine.com in 2014. Kirsten then joined The Root as a Senior Writer in 2014 and was promoted to an Associate Editor in 2017. In 2018, Kirsten joined the Me Too Movement as a Digital Director before moving to Essence Communications Inc. as a Senior Editor News, Politics & Issues and an Executive Producer. In 2021, they returned to Interactive One as a Senior Director, Content and is currently serving as the Vice President, Content since March 2022.
Kirsten West Savali attended Clark Atlanta University from 1998 to 2001, where they pursued a field of study in Psychology. Later, between 2006 and 2008, they enrolled at Alcorn State University, where they completed their Bachelor's of Science degree in Psychology.
