Paul Phillips

Paul Phillips has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Paul started their career as a Software Engineer at Nexon Asia Pacific in 2005, where they developed custom PHP Joomla modules, rewrote Joomla PHP core code, and created an automated online store. In 2006, they joined Web Reservations International as a Senior Engineer, working on various platforms. Paul then became the CTO of Scrazzl.com in 2010, leading the development of a data analytics platform for scientific publications. From 2013 to 2016, they served as the CTO of CurrencyFair.com, leading a team of 70 people and driving high performance and quality. In 2017, they joined Intercom as an Engineering Manager and rapidly progressed to Group Engineering Manager, Director of Engineering, Senior Director of Engineering, and currently holds the position of VP of Engineering. Throughout their career, Paul has demonstrated strong leadership skills and a track record of success in delivering innovative technological solutions.

Paul Phillips attended University College Cork from 1998 to 2002, where they earned a degree in Computer Science. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Software Development for Computer Networks at the same university from 2002 to 2003.
