Michael Mangrum

Michael Mangrum, CPA, serves as the Director of Audit Services and Chief Audit Executive at Interface since July 2022, overseeing key audit and compliance functions. Previously, from March 2018 to July 2022, Michael was the Director of Internal Audit at Preferred Apartment Communities, Inc. (NYSE: APTS), where responsibilities included managing the Compliance Hotline, conducting enterprise risk assessments, fraud assessments, and SOX/internal control design and testing, as well as developing operational audit programs and delivering results to the Audit Committee. Prior to this role, Michael held the position of Internal Audit Manager, focusing on establishing and developing the internal audit function. Michael's earlier experience includes serving as Manager for Business Risk Services at Grant Thornton LLP from June 2012 to March 2018, where Michael provided governance, risk, and compliance services, and an internship at Homrich Berg. Michael holds two Bachelor of Business Administration degrees in Finance and Accounting from Georgia State University - J. Mack Robinson College of Business.
