Wei Gong

Wei Gong currently serves as Associate Director and Head of Production Core at Intergalactic Therapeutics since March 2022. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Manufacturing Scientist at Gen9, Inc., where responsibilities encompassed technology transfer, troubleshooting, and optimization of gene assembly and cloning methods. Wei Gong held the position of Senior Scientist at Myriant Technologies, LLC, focusing on engineering microbes for efficient chemical production through metabolic engineering and directed evolution. Earlier research experience involves postdoctoral roles at Rice University and the University of Washington, where work centered on elucidating biosynthetic pathways and engineering the production of bioactive compounds. Wei Gong's academic foundation includes a PhD in Microbiology from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and a BS in Microbiology from Wuhan University.
