Sylvia Weir

Sylvia Weir is Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. In these roles, Sylvia leads the business support and accounting functions, manages contracted services and partnership development, and is responsible for capital planning and projects.

Sylvia is a proven strategic health leader with 25 years of experience working in the financial sector, including internationally within the UK National Health Service and within the B.C. public sector. She has deep knowledge and expertise in forming and sustaining partnerships with community, government, and private entities, and is committed to public service and fulfilling IH’s mission to deliver high quality and compassionate care and services.

A collaborative leader, Sylvia believes in engagement and values-based decision-making and building healthy and high-performing teams.

Sylvia is active in her local community as a Vice-Chair of the Kelowna Women’s Shelter and an Immigrant Employment Mentor with the Kelowna Community Resources Centre.
