Philip Rafael

Philip Rafael is an accomplished lighting design professional with extensive experience in various roles across notable organizations. Currently serving as the IALD German Chapter Coordinator, Philip also founded and directs In'Sight Lighting Design, an international studio committed to enhancing spatial experiences through innovative lighting. Co-founder of The Dark Art, a movement emphasizing the interplay of light and darkness, Philip previously held positions at The Flaming Beacon Pty Ltd, where contributions were made to high-end hospitality projects, and Studio Illumine, focusing on business development and creative design. Past roles include directorships at the Professional Lighting Designers' Association, as Senior Lighting Designer at Building Design Partnership, and as part of LGT. Philip holds a BA in Industrial Design from ESAD, attained from 2000 to 2003.
