Elizabeth Plourde Young has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. From 2016 to the present, they have worked at the International Association of Privacy Professionals, starting as a Training Specialist and later advancing to Training Development Manager. Prior to this, they worked at Mount Washington College from 2010 to 2015, where they held the position of Assistant Academic Program Manager & Assistant Professor of General Education and English. Their responsibilities included instructing undergraduate courses, developing course content, and chairing the GNED Committee. Before that, they worked as an Adjunct Professor at Franklin Pierce University from 2009 to 2013 and at Southern New Hampshire University from 2006 to 2013. Elizabeth also served as a Student Services Assistant at Southern New Hampshire University during that time. Elizabeth's earlier experience includes working at NHPTV as an Assistant Producer & Assistant Director from 2005 to 2006, and as a Floor Director & Crew Member from 2004 to 2006.

From 2001 to 2005, they attended the University of New Hampshire, where they earned their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in English Language and Literature, focusing on a broad range of subjects within the discipline. Building on this foundation, from 2007 to 2009, they pursued a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Fiction Writing at Southern New Hampshire University. Their studies at this esteemed institution enabled their to delve deeper into the craft of writing, particularly in the context of literary fiction.
