Co-chairman On The Advancements In Astrobiology And Space Exploration at International Astronautical Federation

Fathi Karouia, Ph.D., is a distinguished professional with extensive expertise in astrobiology, space exploration, and commercialization of space technologies. Currently serving as a Governing Board Member for ASGSR, Fathi demonstrates leadership in budget management and policy development. As Co-Chairman for both the Advancements in Astrobiology and Space Exploration and In-Space Manufacturing and Production Applications sessions at the International Astronautical Federation, Fathi contributes significantly to discussions on human and robotic space missions. Fathi holds a position as Research Faculty at the University of Colorado Boulder, focusing on commercialization strategies for space technologies. Additional roles include serving on the editorial board for Astrobiology, being an Affiliate Member at Baylor College of Medicine, and participating in NASA GeneLab’s research. Fathi has advanced academic qualifications, including a Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Houston and multiple master's degrees in space studies and applied space technologies.
