Vice President For Science And Academic Relations at International Astronautical Federation

Tanja L. Masson-Zwaan serves as an Assistant Professor and Deputy Director at the International Institute of Air and Space Law within Leiden Law School since January 2008. Masson-Zwaan has extensive involvement in various academic and professional organizations, currently acting as Vice President for Science and Academic Relations for the International Astronautical Federation and holding editorial positions with Wolters Kluwer. Additionally, Masson-Zwaan has been a member of the Steering Committee for the LDE Space for Science & Society program and has held leadership roles at the International Institute of Space Law, including past President and current President Emerita. Engagements also include roles with the Open Lunar Foundation and the Space Generation Advisory Council, among other advisory capacities. Masson-Zwaan earned a PhD and an LLM in public international law from Leiden University, with early education at the University of Lausanne.
