Takato Masuda

Takato Masuda is an Associate Lawyer at Nishimura & Asahi since December 2016 and serves as a Tax News Correspondent for Japan at IBFD since July 2023, contributing to both the IBFD Tax News Service and the Global Minimum Tax Monitor. In 2023, Takato completed an internship at the United Nations within the International Tax Cooperation Unit, focusing on international tax policy. Additionally, Takato acted as a Research Assistant at New York University, supporting a project on the international tax nexus. Takato holds a Master of Laws in International Taxation from New York University and is currently pursuing another Master of Laws in International Taxation at WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business). Education also includes a Bachelor of Laws from The University of Tokyo and summer courses at the Leiden International Tax Center.
