Chris Allen

Chris Allen serves as General Counsel for HSBC Bank PLC, overseeing global legal matters for Global Banking & Markets and Europe since January 2023. In addition to this role, Chris is a Board Trustee at Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity and a member of the Global Markets Advisory Committee at the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission. Additional commitments include participation in the Legal & Regulatory Working Group for the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative and serving as a Non-Executive Director for the International Business and Diplomatic Exchange. Chris has held various notable positions, including General Counsel at Standard Chartered Bank and a member of the Global FX Code Practitioner Panel at the Bank for International Settlements.
