Khaled Al - Sham

Khaled Al-Shamaa is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in research informatics and web development. Currently serving as the Research Database Manager and Senior Analyst at ICARDA since August 2002, Khaled provides biometrics support for the development of Genetic Resources, Crop, and Genomic Information and Analysis Systems. As the founder and leader of Ar-PHP since February 2006, Khaled has created an open-source project that equips Arabic website developers with tools for managing Arabic language content in a PHP/MySQL environment. Previous roles include Supervisor/Editor in the Web Technologies section at Ray Publishing and Science, Senior Web Developer for MazadMaktoob at Maktoob Group, and Software Engineer at Syriamica. Khaled holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Jami't Alep, earned in 1998.
