Jean Miele

Faculty Digital Media Instructor at International Center of Photography

Jean Miele has a diverse work experience in the field of photography, with roles as a Photographer/Artist/Educator at their own company, Jean Miele Photography, since 1984. Jean has also served as a Visiting Faculty Member at Maine Media Workshops since 2007 and as a Faculty - Digital Media Instructor at the International Center of Photography since 2002. Jean Miele is a Represented Artist at Catherine Couturier Gallery since 2012. Jean has also worked as an Invited Photography Instructor/Lecturer at the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 2014, and as an Adjunct Instructor in the Photography Department at the Fashion Institute of Technology in 2005. Furthermore, they gained experience as a Stock Photography Editor at The Image Bank from 1987 to 1990.

Jean Miele pursued their education at Oberlin College from 1982 to 1984, where they focused on East Asian Studies. Following this, they attended Columbia University from 1984 to 1987, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in East Asian Language and Culture.
