Ina Islam

Ina Islam is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in climate change and development. Serving as a Visiting Fellow in International Outreach at the International Centre for Climate Change and Development (ICCCAD) since October 2009, Ina has focused on capacity building and establishing partnerships to advance climate action. Previous roles at ICCCAD include Deputy Director and Assistant Director, where contributions included shaping organizational culture, developing innovative programs, and facilitating cross-sector collaborations. Earlier positions as a Research Assistant at Queen's University involved conducting psycholinguistics research, while experience at Rainforest Alliance as Grants and Fellowship Coordinator built dynamic NGO partnerships. Ina's foundational work at Oxfam America included establishing coalitions with indigenous groups. Educational credentials include a Master's degree in Urban and Environmental Policy from Tufts University and studies at École Polytechnic, Bard College, and Woodstock School.
