Armando Aliu

Armando Aliu is an accomplished academic and expert in international studies with a current role as Assistant Professor (Adjunct) and Postdoctoral Researcher at Jagiellonian University in Kraków, Poland. As a SEDIA Funding & Tender Expert and Senior ECAS EU Project Referee for the European Commission, Aliu has been involved in EU project evaluation since June 2019. Aliu serves on the MIEUX Expert Roster at the International Centre for Migration Policy Development, focusing on improving migration governance worldwide. Additional roles include being a Roster Member and Peer Reviewer at the United Nations Network on Migration, and Associate Editor for Cogent Social Sciences. Recent fellowships include a Visiting Fellow at the German Institute for Global and Area Studies and a LIAS Visiting Fellow at KU Leuven. Aliu holds a PhD in International Commerce and EU Law from Istanbul Commerce University, along with degrees from Heidelberg University and the University of Hamburg.
