Marc Perrin de Brichambaut

​Judge Marc Perrin de Brichambaut (1948) after graduation from the Ecole Normale Supérieure de Saint-Cloud and the Ecole Nationale d'Administration, joined the Conseil d'Etat (Supreme Court for judicial review) in 1974. He was appointed Conseiller d'Etat in 1992. He has also served in numerous senior positions in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defence of France and in the United Nations Secretariat. As Legal Advisor to the Foreign Ministry he led the French delegation to the Rome Conference and signed the Rome Statute on behalf of his country. He served as Secretary General of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) from 2005 to 2011. He has taught extensively international law in Sciences-Po in Paris.
