Paula Kotze has held significant roles in the realm of computer science and human-computer interaction since 2001, serving as Chair of the International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP) Technical Committee 13 (TC13) and previously as Vice-Chair in the same committee, where involvement included oversight of awards. Current academic positions include Extraordinary Professor at the University of Pretoria and past Adjunct Professor at Nelson Mandela University. Paula Kotze has also served as Chief Researcher at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) and held leadership positions within the South African Institute of Computer Scientists and Information Technologists.
