Amal Emam

Amal Emam currently serves as the Acting CEO and Deputy CEO of the Egyptian Red Crescent, with a notable tenure beginning in 2017, alongside roles such as National Manager for Youth and Volunteering Development. Emam's extensive experience at the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies since August 2016 includes positions as Regional Youth Engagement and Volunteering Development Senior Officer and Acting Regional Head of National Society Development. With a background in health, Emam worked as a Health Specialist for the Ministry of Health & Population in Egypt and served in various project management roles within the Egyptian Red Crescent, focusing on health initiatives and education projects. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery and a Master’s degree from Ain Shams University, multiple diplomas in humanitarian diplomacy, and advanced training in negotiation and intercultural dialogue from prestigious institutions such as Harvard University and DiploFoundation.
