Joel Sirma

Joel Sirma is an experienced recruitment and human resources professional with a strong background in organizational development and leadership. Currently serving as a Recruitment Officer in the Human Resources and Organizational Development department at International IDEA since July 2021, Joel is responsible for developing recruitment strategies, ensuring compliance with policies, and managing the full recruitment process. Prior roles include Program Analyst and Human Resource Associate at UN Women, where responsibilities encompassed human resource support, talent management, and oversight of performance management across multiple country offices. Joel also has experience as a Recruitment Consultant for UNFPA and in the Human Resource Unit at UNDP, with a solid educational foundation that includes a Master's degree in Organizational Development and Leadership from the United States International University - Africa and a Bachelor's degree in Communication, Sociology, and Human Resource Management from the University of Nairobi.
