Ahmed al-Obaidi

Ahmed Al-Obaidi is an experienced interpreter and engineer with a diverse background spanning multiple sectors. Currently serving as an interpreter at both the International Institute of Buffalo and Journey's End Refugee Services since 2013, Ahmed specializes in language interpretation and translation for Arabic-speaking clients in medical and educational contexts. Previous roles include machine operator at Buffalo Wire Works, insurance agent at Bankers Conseco Life Insurance Company, and geo-technical site engineer with the Regional Bureau for Design & Construction, where oversight of precast pile installations and compliance with engineering standards were key responsibilities. Additionally, experience as a civil engineer includes project management and design responsibilities at various companies, including Knowledge Horizons for Engineering Services and Al-Nahrain Engineering Consulting Bureau, as well as serving as an interpreter and engineer for the U.S. Army.
