Andrew Davis

Andrew Davis has extensive experience in welding standards and technical services management, currently serving as the Director of International Activities and Managing Director of the Technical Services Division at the American Welding Society since March 1999. Responsibilities include overseeing the development of over 200 technical standards generating significant annual revenues. Additionally, Andrew serves as Standards Officer for the International Institute of Welding. Previous roles include Project Manager at the British Standards Institute, managing national and international standards projects, and Industrial Researcher at Universite Libre de Bruxelles, where a pilot cell for zinc plating was developed. Other notable positions have been held at Struers A/S, Rolls-Royce, and British Steel Corporation, with academic qualifications including an MSc in Welding and Joining Technology and a BSc in Metallurgy.
