Thomas Crane

Thomas Crane has a diverse background in the legal field with extensive experience in various roles. Thomas is currently the Chief Legal Officer at International Personal Finance Plc, where they are responsible for legal compliance, privacy matters, and ESG/climate-related activities. Prior to this, Thomas served as the General Counsel & Chief Sustainability Officer at Coventry Building Society, where they led the Legal, Company Secretarial, Data Protection, Climate Risk, and Procurement Functions. Thomas has also held the position of General Counsel at The Home and Savings Bank and Citi, where they handled legal and regulatory matters. Earlier in their career, Thomas worked as a Managing Associate at WilmerHale and an Associate at McDermott Will & Emery LLP. Thomas began their legal career as a Trainee Solicitor at Theodore Goddard. Additionally, Thomas has experience as a Writer at BBC Studios.

Thomas Crane has a diversified education history. In 1991-1994, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in International History and Politics at the University of Leeds. Thomas continued their education at the same institution and obtained a Master's degree in Military History in 1994-1995. Moving forward, they attended the College of Law in London, completing a Certificate in Professional Development (CPD) in Law from 1995-1996, followed by a Legal Practice Course (LPC) in Law from 1996-1997. In recent years, Thomas participated in professional development programs, including a diploma in the Oxford Leading Sustainable Corporations Programme from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, and an Executive Course in Sustainable Finance from the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership in 2022.
