Monika Gehner

Monika Gehner has over 25 years of work experience in corporate communications, crisis emergency risk communication, policy development, social media management, resource mobilization, and project management. Monika has held various leadership roles at organizations such as the International Telecommunication Union, World Health Organization, and WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control. Monika has demonstrated expertise in promoting universal connectivity, sustainable digital transformation, and improving people's work and lives. Monika has also played a key role in coordinating communication activities during public health emergencies, such as the Zika virus outbreak and the COVID-19 pandemic. Furthermore, they have contributed to strengthening governance in tobacco control and advocating for gender and women's health. Additionally, they have experience in managing social media teams, developing governance policies, and busting mis- and dis-information. Monika has successfully coordinated marketing and sales efforts for international clientele, including Fortune 500 corporations. Monika has a strong background in project management and has negotiated partnerships and managed communication and advocacy projects.
