Christopher Kern

Christopher Kern is an experienced professional with a diverse background in engineering management and music production. As the Owner of Flat Response Sound since October 2008, Kern manages an independent record label that releases music from independent artists in various formats. At Navistar Inc, Kern has held multiple roles since January 2005, culminating in the position of Sr. Engineering Manager, where key responsibilities include managing teams to develop communications protocols and OBD monitor interfaces in compliance with automotive standards. Kern's previous roles at Navistar include Engineering Manager, Sr. Product Development Engineer Team Lead, Control Systems Senior Engineer, and Diagnostic Engineer, contributing significantly to software implementation and testing for medium and heavy-duty vehicles. Kern also has prior experience as a Validation Engineer at Bosch USA and contributed to a project at Dana Corporation involving the design and construction of a scuff tester for piston rings. Kern holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Grand Valley State University.
