Robert Carolina is an experienced legal professional specializing in information security, technology law, and internet governance. As General Counsel at the Internet Systems Consortium since September 2020, Robert provides legal and policy advice for a not-for-profit enterprise focused on internet infrastructure and open-source software. Robert is also a member of the Root Server System Advisory Committee at ICANN, contributing to discussions on the internet's Root Server System. In addition, Robert serves as a Senior Teaching Fellow at Royal Holloway, University of London, and as Executive Director of the Institute for Cyber Security Innovation, working on projects that address cyber security needs. With a career that includes legal roles at Origin Ltd, PwC, and Clifford Chance, Robert possesses extensive knowledge in intellectual property, technology transfer, and regulatory aspects of information technology. Education includes a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center and an LL.M in International Business Law from The London School of Economics.
