Senior Advisor, Technical Leadership Unit at Internews

Alison Campbell is a media development expert with over 20 years of experience specializing in humanitarian and health emergencies, democratic transitions, and conflict scenarios. Currently serving as Senior Technical Advisor at Internews since January 2017, Alison has played a pivotal role in establishing and expanding Internews' operations in Rwanda since their involvement with the Rwanda War Crimes Tribunal in 1999. Previous positions include Vice President of Global Initiatives and Senior Director of Global Initiatives at Internews Network, as well as roles as Country Director for Internews in Chiang Mai, Thailand, and Humanitarian Technical Advisor for Africa Projects. Alison's expertise encompasses health journalism, humanitarian communications, environmental journalism, data journalism, and strategic program management across numerous African countries. Educational credentials include a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and English from the University of Cape Town.
