Kris West has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. They began their career as a Technical Author at Toshiba Information Systems in 2002. They then worked as a Visiting Researcher at the International Music Information Retrieval Systems Evaluation Laboratory (IMIRSEL) in 2005, where they implemented various algorithms related to Music Information Retrieval. In the same year, they interned at Sun Microsystems on the 'Search Inside the Music' project, conducting research and implementing music recommendation and classification technologies.
