Joel Gruenberg

Vice President, Research & Development at Interoperability Institute

Joel Gruenberg has extensive work experience, starting in 2001 with HP as a Senior Project Manager, where they managed infrastructure projects and oversaw the implementation of securitization deals worth $20 billion. Joel later joined Ally Financial Inc. in 2010 as a Program Manager, focusing on corporate financial systems and leading teams for various initiatives. In 2013, Joel joined Blazent as a Senior Program Manager/Account Manager, where they successfully managed strategic accounts and led renewal activities, contributing to $2 million in annual revenue.

Joel then ventured into entrepreneurship and co-founded Q3 Cloud in 2016, serving as a Founder and Partner. Moving forward, they joined Razorthink Inc. in 2017 as a Director, AI Product Strategy and Delivery, and later joined CAVU Global in 2019 as a Director of Technology Delivery.

Currently, Joel is working at the Interoperability Institute. Joel started in 2020 as a Senior Product Engineering Manager and subsequently transitioned to the role of Senior Director, Innovation & Software Engineering. As of 2023, they have achieved the position of Vice President Research & Development. Throughout their career, Joel has demonstrated strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to drive successful outcomes for complex organizations.

Joel Gruenberg holds a Master of Science degree in Organizational Behavior Management, which they obtained from the University of North Texas in the years 1990-1992. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology at Central Michigan University from 1985 to 1988. Joel also attended Freeland High School from 1981 to 1984. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications, including Agile Project Management from the University of Maryland, Data Science: Visualization and Data Science: R Basics from Harvard University, and Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute in 2005.
