Scott Degeest

Scott DeGeest, MBA PhD, has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in data science, data analytics, and education. Scott is currently working at Interos Inc as a Principal Data Scientist, leading a team in addressing supply chain crises and modeling risk scenarios. Scott has also held previous roles at Correlation One, where they trained organizational leaders on data literacy and developed data strategies for organizations. Scott was also a Data Science Fellow at Data Science for All by Correlation One, where they built a human capital data product using Python packages. Additionally, Scott has worked as a Lead Data Analyst at Mittera Group, Senior Data Analyst at Global Atlantic Financial Group, and Senior Data Specialist at Meidh. Scott has also taught as a Mathematics Instructor at Santa Fe Public Schools and served as an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Business, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Scott's experience showcases their expertise in data science, data analysis, and education.

Scott DeGeest completed the Applied Data Science Program at MIT Professional Education in 2022. Prior to that, they obtained a PhD in Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management from the University of Iowa and an MBA in Business Analytics from The University of Iowa Tippie College of Business. Scott holds a BA in English and Mathematics from Grinnell College and also completed a MAP Fellowship in English at the same institution. In addition to their degrees, Scott has obtained several certifications, including the MIT Applied Data Science Program - Exceptional Graduate certificate from MIT Professional Education, the DS4A/Empowerment 2.0 Honors Certificate from Correlation One, and the Python for Finance: Investment Fundamentals & Data Analytics certificate from Udemy.
