Oyin Esuola

Oyin Esuola has a diverse work experience in the technology risk and control field. From 2019 to present, they have been working at Interswitch Group, where they hold the position of Group Head, Technology Risk & Control / Data Protection Officer. In this role, they ensure the adequacy of all IT controls within the organization, performs information security gap analysis, provides assurance to management about the efficiency of IT controls, and offers expert opinions on control recommendations to risk owners.

Prior to joining Interswitch Group, Oyin worked at GTBank from 2011 to 2018 as an Information System Auditor. In this role, they developed audit tests and checklists to identify all risks before each audit, audited the information systems according to the bank's policies and standards such as PCI DSS and ISO certifications.

Oyin Esuola obtained a Master's Degree in Distributed Systems: Databases and Datawarehousing from the University of Greenwich in the years 2008 to 2009. Prior to that, Oyin completed a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Lagos in the years 2002 to 2006. In terms of certifications, Oyin acquired the ISO 22301 LA certification from PECB in March 2019 and the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification from ISACA in November 2012. Oyin also possesses additional certifications including COBIT, CRISC, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, PCI ISA, and PRINCE2, although specific information on the months and years of obtaining these certifications is not provided.
