Marzio Alessi

Marzio Alessi is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the fintech and telecommunications sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Expert Engineer and Innovation Project Manager at Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center since May 2021, Marzio also holds the position of Area Chief Innovation Officer at Intesa Sanpaolo since July 2006. Responsibilities include scouting and integrating fintech start-ups, managing AI and big data projects, and enhancing business models within the banking system. Previous roles include Business Innovation Manager and ICT Architect at Intesa Sanpaolo, and Master Coordinator for a Big Data Innovation Lab at Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna. Marzio's early career involved research and consultancy at Telecom Italia Lab, focusing on content networking and telecommunications solutions. Marzio holds a Master's degree in Telecommunications from COREP TILS and a degree in Electronical Engineering from Università degli Studi di Palermo.
