Dave Newby, PHRi

Dave Newby, PHRi, has a diverse range of work experience spanning over several industries. Dave started their career as a Corporate Investment Advisor at Pointon York from 1992 to 1995. Following this, they worked as the Director and Co-Owner of Target Language GmbH from 1996 to 2007.

In 2007, Dave became the Territory Leader (Canada) at IOWEU International Ltd, where they were responsible for the quality and delivery of training and coaching programs. Dave also managed strategic alliances and supported the facilitator network until October 2011.

From 2007 to 2014, Dave worked at Cabot Business Training Ltd as a Customer-Success Creator and HR Consultant. Dave partnered with client organizations to align their daily operations with strategic goals, focusing on customer success, situational leadership, trusted advisor relationships, and high-performance teams.

In 2010, Dave joined McLuhan & Davies Communications, Inc. and held the role of Operational Leadership and Strategic Relationships until October 2012. Dave then moved to PromoMedia Group Inc. as a Sales and Operational Leadership professional, responsible for achieving sustainable business growth through coaching, training, and leadership.

From 2008 to 2019, Dave worked at Algonquin College as a Part-Time Professor, teaching various courses such as "Driving Revenue," "Value-Driven Sales," and "Developing and Managing High-Performance Teams."

Currently, Dave serves as the VP of Human Resources at Intouch Insight Inc, a company that specializes in collecting data to improve business outcomes. Dave joined the company in December 2014, and their role involves working with companies committed to enhancing their customers' experiences and taking prompt actions based on gathered data. Dave's entrepreneurial attitude has been instrumental in their success at Intouch.

Dave Newby, PHRi, attended Queen Elizabeth's Hospital in Bristol, but the timeframe and degree obtained are unknown. In 2001, they enrolled at St George University, where they studied International Business Administration and graduated with a BBA (honours) degree in 2005. In 2016, they pursued further education at Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology, earning a College Certificate in Laws of the Workplace.

Dave also obtained additional certifications. In January 2017, they obtained the Professional in Human Resources – International™ (PHRi™) certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI. In May 2020, they completed the "Leading at a Distance" certification from LinkedIn.
