Jeremy Shaw has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and roles. Jeremy began their career as a Visitor Services personnel at the Joint House Department in 1997. From there, they moved on to become a Coordinator for International Relations at the Saitama Prefectural Government in 2000. In 2002, Jeremy worked as a Programme Coordinator at the Council of Local Authorities for International Relations, overseeing the administration of the JET Programme.
In 2003, Jeremy started working as a Translator/Interpreter at JS Consulting, where they provided freelance translation and interpretation services to clients, primarily the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO). Jeremy transitioned to the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade in 2005, taking on the role of a Policy Officer until 2006.
In 2007, Jeremy joined Intralink as a Project Manager, specializing in Japan market entry and business development projects in telecommunications and digital broadcast infrastructure. Over the years, they held various positions within the company, including Project Director, President Japan, Vice President Asia, and Managing Director for Korea and Greater China. Jeremy's responsibilities at Intralink involved managing sales, licensing, investment programs, and implementing market entry strategies for Western and Asian companies targeting East Asia.
Their extensive experience eventually led him to become the Chief Operating Officer and President Asia at Intralink, where they utilized their expertise in East Asia to develop business opportunities, establish connections, and deliver results for clients.
Jeremy Shaw obtained a Bachelor of Asian Studies Specialist Japanese degree from The Australian National University between 1994 and 2000. Jeremy also participated in an exchange program at Tohoku University from 1998 to 1999. Additionally, Jeremy completed a Performing Arts degree at The Drama Studio from 1988 to 1990.
