Alexis Wiasmitinow has a diverse work experience in various engineering roles. They started in 2009 as the CEO, CTO, CMO, and founder of EveryCook, a startup focused on automating cooking processes. During this time, they were responsible for the conception of mechanics, electronics, and software, as well as coordinating internal staff, external freelancers, and manufacturers.
In 2011, Alexis worked at EnDes AG as a development engineer, where they were involved in mechanical design for a wide range of machines, including powder conveyors and microscope optics.
From 2011 to 2014, Alexis served as a project manager and energy consultant at Durena AG, managing large district heating projects and coordinating multiple parties.
Alexis then joined Walter Reist Corporate Services AG in 2015 as a research engineer, contributing to the development of innovative solutions in conveying, sorting, and commissioning of goods.
In 2015, Alexis founded TailoredMotor, where they developed a concept for a fully automated production plant for customized electric motors.
From 2016 to 2017, Alexis worked at Aerne Engineering AG as a senior development engineer and project manager, focusing on developing a computer vision system for part orientation detection.
In 2017, Alexis became the technical director at LOGSTOR, overseeing a team of 10 field technicians and managing thermal stress analysis for district heating pipes.
Starting in 2019, Alexis held multiple roles at BOBST, including robotics engineer, R&D technology integration engineer, and R&D engineer. In these positions, they were involved in the development of robots, highly automated printing machines, and digital printing presses, contributing to the creative optimization of mechanics, electronics, and software.
More recently, Alexis worked at Akasha Imaging as a senior solutions engineer, where they specialized in calibrating 3D vision cameras, optimizing camera mounting, and conducting hand-eye calibration with robot arms.
Currently, Alexis is a senior solution engineer at Intrinsic, starting in 2022.
Alexis Wiasmitinow began their education at Realgymnasium Basel, where they obtained their Matura degree with a focus on Typus B (Latin + Languages). Following this, they proceeded to attend ETH Zürich from 1997 to 2003. At ETH Zürich, Alexis pursued a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Sustainable Energy. Additionally, they obtained a certification for their M. Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from ETH Zurich.
