Senior Vice President, Production & Operations at Intuitive Machines

Jack Fischer's work experience includes a variety of roles in the aerospace and defense industry. Jack is currently serving as the Vice President of Strategic Programs at Intuitive Machines, where they are focused on helping the team successfully complete the IM-1 mission and return the U.S. to the Moon. Prior to this, they worked as a DoD and Civil Space Integration Consultant at PARTNERS IN AIR AND SPACE, INC., contributing to intelligence gathering, program assessment, and government/industry partnership facilitation.

Fischer also has experience as a Public Speaker at Uniphi Space Agency, showcasing their expertise in communication across various audiences and media platforms. Additionally, they served as the Chief Innovation Officer at Collins Aerospace, Civil Space & Sea Solutions, where they were responsible for setting strategic technical visions and identifying business growth opportunities.

Earlier in their career, Fischer held leadership roles in the military, including Vice Wing Commander at the 50th Space Wing and Chief of the Global Space Operations Division at Air Force Space Command. Jack also had a notable tenure at NASA as an Astronaut and Expedition Crew Member for multiple missions, including Expedition 51 and Expedition 52.

Fischer began their career in the United States Air Force, where they held various positions such as Special Assistant to the Senior Advisor, OSD/AT&L, and F-15E Student Pilot. Jack was recognized for their outstanding performance and academic excellence throughout their military service.

Jack Fischer holds a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Aero/Astro from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, completed from 1996 to 1998. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Astronautics from the United States Air Force Academy, where they studied from 1992 to 1996. In terms of certifications, Jack has acquired the "APDP Test and Evaluation Level 3" from the Defense Acquisition University, as well as the "Systems Planning Research, Development and Engineering (SPRDE) - Level I" certification, both without specified dates. Additionally, they have attended the "Enterprise Leadership Seminar" at the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School in 2018 and completed the "Artificial Intelligence Business Strategy Program" at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology - Sloan School of Management also in 2018.
